The Trump administration's decision to reverse the ban on elephant trophies sparked so much outrage and disappointment on social media that the president later backtracked on Twitter.

The initial decision gave hunters the right to bring trophies of elephants they killed in Zimbabwe and Zambia back to the U.S. The ban was implemented by Obama administration in 2014.

According to ABC News, the administration was working to reverse a few similar bans, like one on lion trophies and other hunting activities.

As a result, people are trying to raise awareness to stop the Trump administration from reversing these bans and bringing harm to threatened animal populations.
