Five Wishes:Plan and maintain control of critical health care decisions by creating an Advance Health Care Directive using a fillable booklet, called Five Wishes. This allows your family or caregiver to know exactly what you want for your life-ending process.

IHSS (In-Home Supportive Services):Those who have Medi-Cal (limited income healthcare insurance) are eligible for caregiver services provided by the county. Learn about what kind of services are included and how to apply in Los Angeles County.

Secrets of Saving Money on Bills:Learn about telephone, Internet and mobile phone bills and how to save on monthly bills.

Social Bullying:Unfortunately, social bullying can exist in any age group. The workshop will cover what is considered bullying, important components, types of bullying, reasons why bullying occurs, how to recognize it, and tips on what to do if you or someone you know is experiencing bullying.

Senior Living Facilities:An overview of information about senior care facilities, including what types of living facilities are available and what kind of services are provided at those facilities.

Transportation:There are several government funded transportation programs that seniors and people with disabilities can get discounts on. Learn how each program works in Los Angeles County and the City of Los Angeles.

Scams and ID Theft:Scams targeting seniors are on the rise. Total fraud losses for those over 60 exceeded $1.7 billion. Workshop will provide an overview of fraud, types of scams and ID theft, how to protect yourself, and steps to take if you become a victim.
